The Three Fs: Family, Fitness, Freedom Millionaire Fastlane

There are three F’s in your life you should strive for, Family, Fitness, and Freedom. These are in no particular order and are straight from the Millionaire Fastlane. When a person has these, they can have a good chance at a fulfilling life. Let’s elaborate on each one.

Family is all about your relationships. Science has shown that one key attribute to your happiness is your relationships. What is the point of just sitting around all day and being healthy if you have no one to spend it with? It can be your Parents, Siblings, close friends, and significant others. When there is a relationship that you can be vulnerable around them and truly be yourself, you will feel energized. This helps make life worth living. You never want your identity to be wrapped up in a small portion of people. Being able to express yourself, spending it with family and friends will make life worth living. If you feel lonely, find a topic you are interested in and go to a class about that topic. If anything, you will learn something new.

Fitness is all about your health. Health gives you more energy and a better life. It’s about what you eat and movement. You don’t have to be an Olympic powerlifter or a marathon runner. Walking around the block a couple of times a day can contribute and not eating a bunch of fast food or sweets. You don’t have to completely cut them out of your life but being mindful of when you put them in your body. For example, when I eat fast food, I feel like crap after. This makes me avoid fast food, but I still love an excellent Chick-fil-A sandwich from time to time. If you are free to do what you want and have a ton of relationships, how can you truly enjoy them if you barely have the energy to be around them?

Freedom is about autonomy. This is is a factor that can be controversial. I don’t necessarily agree with MJ that you have to start a business. It’s more about being able to work on your terms, whether a freelancer or reduced full time. When it comes to full-time employment, it’s about the flexibility if it begins to drain you that you can leave. Being able to contract work can help add your flexibility. The biggest hindrance to freedom is bad debt. Bad debt is credit card debt, college debt that didn’t increase your earning capacity, auto loans, and mortgage. The more bills you are forced to pay, the more you have to stay at your job. This is why building up your savings and safe investments; you can begin to have more autonomy.

These three factors help build you to a fulfilling life. I continually strive to increase all these areas. These areas are never complete and are part of your life mission. When getting to a certain level, you will be shocked at how great it feels. Then you will continue to work at them as they never stop.
