Persona 4 is an older game that is on Playstation Vita and PC. I thought about purchasing a vita to play it but finally started Persona on PC. Needless, to say I am addicted.
Persona 4 is a JRPG that is half high school simulator and half dungeon crawler. I enjoy the aesthetic of Persona 4 as a high schooler half the days and dungeon crawling the other half. To me, it has an excellent Japanese presentation. It is an extremely long game, can easily be over 100 hours. Though, I feel invested in the characters and want to keep moving forward. The issue with the length is if you are an OCD gamer and want to maximize everything. It can be easy to miss, which sometimes can take enjoyment from the game. I’ve been working on letting the “collect all” mentality go and getting lost in the game.
The game mechanics and systems are a little daunting. Once understood, I enjoyed the combat and the social side. As the story progresses, I will touch back with my impressions of Persona 4. As it stands now, it is one of my favorite games of 2021.
