As in all investing, you will have to stomach the negative portion of your account. Options may go against you at first but probabilistically the market will reverse in the other direction. I sold some calls and the market is continuing to go against me. I have the max loss I am willing to take where I will exit, but the market is currently overbought. I will be holding onto the position currently and see the value of the options decrease most likely or take a pre-determined loss.
